Yeah, myself" The best man" and the other groomsmen wore the new 510 freeriders. it was awesome.
Yes the chain ring tensions the crank chain as there is no way to do that other than 2 eccentric bottom brackets.

thanks guys they liked it too.

well as this frame is a single pivot. there is only one place for the braking energy to go. thats into the shock. so what the brake dope system does is transfer the energy from the wheel. it would be connected to a brake caliper mount, and then extend up in a straight line to the bung welded into the seat post. what this does in put the force on the front triangle and keeps it from squating the suspension. hope that helps. and questions are always welcome.

the wheels are transition revolution 32's and the hub it pretty dang loud! the only stock thing on that bike is the seat post clamp. so no they are new. or pretty new anyway I got them about 3 months ago.

When you're riding, and you grab the brake, the brake grabs the rotor (which is being forced to spin through attachment to the wheel, so in effect the force from the ground is being transmitted to the brake) the brake will take the force transmitted to it, push it in to the frame, which pushes that force into the suspension. In effect, its like going through a constant G out, in which the suspension compresses and sinks in. The feeling is of the back end of the bike getting harsher and less active as it cannot react to the bumps as efficiently.
